Note the biconvex hyperdense area (arrows). The blood collection is between the skull and dura. It crosses dural attachments, but not sutures. The etiology is secondary to a lacerated meningeal artery or dural sinus. The Subdural windows may help to discern extra-axial collections such as blood in this case.
