Candida balanoposthitis: A patient presented with fever and new-onset diabetes. During the insertion of a Foley catheter, multiple small erosions and pustules were seen on the glans penis (balanitis) and the prepuce (posthitis). Balanoposthitis is an inflammation of the opposing surfaces of the glans penis (balanitis) and the prepuce (posthitis) and occurs most commonly in uncircumcised diabetic males. This is usually caused by Candida albicans and group B beta-hemolytic Streptococcus. (L.S.)
