History

The patient is a 63 year old female complaining of right-sided weakness and difficulty speaking beginning 45 minutes ago. She has a history of insulin dependent diabetes mellitus and some mild hypertension treated with oral diltiazem.

She is a smoker and denies alcohol use except for rare occassions.
